The scene is set for an epic 'Battle of the Beaches' at Brookvale Oval this Sunday, July 5.

The Sea Eagles are desperate for a win to get off the bottom of the ladder. Victory would put them within two victories of the top eight.

It won’t be an easy task against a Cronulla side who have won their last three games including two against heavyweights Sydney Roosters and Nth Qld Cowboys.

One man who will be on a mission is Sea Eagles star Daly Cherry-Evans. Having being cut from the Queensland Origin line up, he will be out for a very big game to show the Maroons what they will be missing come Wednesday night.

The Sharks will be without their NSW captain in Paul Gallen but still have plenty of fire power up front in prop Andrew Fifita.

Key Match Ups

Kieran Foran v Jack Bird

A great battle looms between these two very talented five-eighths. A seasoned professional, Foran is the other half of Manly Warringah’s attacking machine.

Bird, who has had no trouble adjusting to the speed and competiveness of the NRL, has been at the heart of some courageous Cronulla victories. Whichever one of these playmakers can get a leading edge will go a long way to collecting the two points for their respective sides.

Feleti Mateo v Luke Lewis

A battle of the utility back rowers. Mateo has offered Manly a great attacking threat this season with his exceptional playmaking abilities.

A Test player, Lewis has proven he is still one of the great back-rowers in the game with strong performances in a variety of positions.
