Coach Geoff Toovey spoke to seaeagles.com.au ahead of Monday night’s clash at Brookvale Oval between the Manly Sea Eagles and the Penrith Panthers.

The focus for Manly will be to continue their winning form which has seen confidence rise dramatically in the past couple of weeks.

Manly have fond memories of their clash against the Panthers at Brookvale Oval from last season after a last minute Tom Symonds’ try secured victory to send Manly to the top of the ladder late on in the 2014 season.

“Their speed and vision is great, they are a young side and but they have had some senior players such as Jamie Soward come back into the side, Matt Moylan is looking dangerous at the back and with James Segeyaro they can create something out of nothing” said the Manly legend.

“The Panthers are missing a couple of players in the forward pack but it’s a big young side with plenty of energy and size and they offload the ball well.”

“We are trying to keep the momentum going that we have built in the past couple of weeks. Monday nights at Brookvale have traditionally been very good for the Sea Eagles so we will be looking to continue that trend. We have a Bye coming up next week so if we can get the win then hopefully we go into next weekend with the rest and maybe get a couple of players back from injury during that rest.”

The coach also confirmed that Josh Starling will be out of tomorrow nights clash against the Panthers after the young Prop suffered an ankle sprain in training during the week. James Hasson comes into the side in place of Starling.
