“As a child I was in the Australian cadets and I used to volunteer my time to help the diggers in the city for their marches and listen to some of the stories that they had.
“Both my Pop and my Granddad served in the Second World War. My uncle served in the navy for 33 years and my brother is currently serving in the Australian Defence Force.”
