Manly prop Jake Trbojevic spoke to the media today ahead of Friday nights must win clash against the Bulldogs.

The Mona Vale junior was in an upbeat mood ahead of the teams practice session today and admits that while the weekend's defeat to the Panthers was disappointing, they remain confident that results will turn around through hard work on the training field.

“It’s disappointing to have another loss, but we are all working hard this week and hopefully we will turn it around against the Bulldogs.”

“They are very strong up in the middle, but we will have to try and match them this week and hopefully that will lay down the foundations for a win.”

Trbojevic knows all too well about the Bulldogs, having faced off against them in the clash at Brookvale Oval in March earlier this year. The young gun is adamant that the hard work being put into training will set the tone for a solid performance from the Sea Eagles on Friday night.

“The Dogs are always a tough side, we played them here at Brookvale earlier and they beat us there so it will be a tough game at ANZ Stadium but hopefully we can get the win there.”

“We are disappointed as a team but we are confident we will turn it around as a team, we trained hard last week and it didn’t come off but hopefully it will this week. We know we have to keep putting in the hard yards.”

Trbojevic also expressed his full support to coach Geoff Toovey and has admitted that the players need to start producing results to kick start their season.

“The coach has the full support of the playing group, we are doing our best to turn it around for him and we will put in a lot of effort this week. As a playing group we have to take some ownership and we are the ones that have to put in the effort and turn it around.”
