Manly Football Coaches were buoyant after the team's final pre-season training before next week's season preparation. Assistant Coach David Penna, Speed and Power Coach Rubin Ruzikca and S&C Coach Don Singe, are excited to see the results of months of hard work that the boys have put in  for next Friday Night at Pirtek Stadium.

Assistant Coach David Penna believes all players are going to shine and improve on their 2014 performances and is glad to see some old faces back in action.

"It's been fantastic. We've just finished with our last session before the weekend and next week we will go into our first round. I'm really pleased with how everyone finished today, with everybody on deck, and we looked really sharp and the boys are just ready to get out there an play," Penna said.

"We're hoping they all go well. The boys that have come back - Kieran, Cherry and Snake - have all come back and put in some really good pre-season training, and they look fantastic at the moment, which is great."

Speed and Power Coach, Rubin Ruzicka, backed the excitement of the team heading in to the round one. Ruzicka was impressed with the pace in the squad and is excited to see some pace come round one.

"I think there's a lot of things to look forward too. Everyone's a little quicker, everyone's a little bit faster, everyone's a little bit more powerful."

Something that Strength and Conditioning Coach Don Singe, reiterated. Also highlighting the energy and intensity that has been applied to this year's pre-season training by the group.

"Every training session is a testament to that, we've been really fortunate we've had a few changes in the preseason, we've had a lot resources brought in to us. That have just helped us maintain the really good performances of our older players.  That sweat and that grinding you see out there today I think is just a small indication of the intensity and mental toughness that the boys are gonna put in this season."
