Sea Eagles playmaker Daly Cherry-Evans has today been named in the Kangaroos squad ahead of this month’s Four Nations Tournament in Australia and New Zealand.

Cherry-Evans, a likely replacement for the injured Johnathan Thurston at five-eighth, will join his Australian teammates in Brisbane for camp ahead of their first match on October 25.

Ten players have been selected to make their Test debuts in the tournament.

“We have a really good blend of experience and youth,” Holden Kangaroos coach Tim Sheens said. “The positive for me is the experience that even the debutants have. We have a high proportion of State of Origin representatives and premiership winners and they all deserve to wear the jumper.”
