Retiring forward Jason King says the Sea Eagles have erased the painful memory of last week’s qualifying final against South Sydney, insisting his side will turn the screws against the Bulldogs this Saturday night.
“The mood’s good, we spoke about it after the game,” King said.
“In semi final football, in finals series you’ve got to move on pretty quickly. You can’t dwell too much on your losses and we can’t afford to do that this week,”
“We’ve got to pull out any positives we possibly can from last week, but at the same time identify those areas we need to improve on.”

King is under no illusions of the task that lies ahead against the Bulldogs and conceded that they will have to be at their best to beat the Bulldogs outfit.
“They looked very impressive on the weekend, their forwards are certainly rolling down the field and they’ve got some really good variation round the middle of the park,” King said.
“Their backs are providing that polish so we are going to have to be very good to beat them.”
King insists the club have moved on since Des Hasler’s exit from the club at the end of 2011 and said his side won’t be getting caught up in the mind games of his former mentor.
“It’s not something that I’m really thinking about, its something that happened a long time ago and we’ve played the Bulldogs what feels like 50 times since then,” King said.
“Its not something that’s motivating this squad at all.
“I’m not buying into any of Dessie’s mind games, I’ve been around to see a few of them, it’s not something we’ll be discussing I don’t think.”
The Sea Eagles are masters come this time of year, and with four Grand Final appearances since 2007, if any one is going to do it it's the Sea Eagles, and King believes the mood in the camp is as good as ever.
