Fullback Brett Stewart has helped the Sea Eagles climb into the top-four after starring in his side's 24-4 victory over Cronulla on Sunday.

Stewart had a hand in three of Manly’s five tries as the Sea Eagles claimed the Steve Rogers Cup for the third consecutive time.

Out to avenge last weekend’s shock loss to the Tigers, the Sea Eagles were at their attacking best, dismantling their opposition in a clinical first half display.

In a complete contrast to last Sunday’s first 40 against the Tigers, the home side produced 20 unanswered points to all but seal victory by half time.

Centre Steve Matai’s fourth double of the season helping his side to a five try romping of the Sharks.

The Manly centre kicked off the first half onslaught just three minutes in when Peta Hiku put his fellow winger Jorge Taufua through a whole from a kick-return.

Taufua, in space, found a supporting Matai who ran 50 metres to score the first of his two tries of the afternoon.

The Sea Eagles then extended their advantage soon after as a miracle flick pass from fullback Brett Stewart some how ended up in the hands of a streaking Brenton Lawrence who dived over almost untouched.

Taufua soon had a try to add to his earlier try assist in his first game back after the Sea Eagles went wide with Brett Stewart to deliver the final pass to the flying winger.

Matai crossed for his second just before halftime to hand his side a commanding 20-point lead at the break.

Brett Stewart got himself involved in almost every attacking play and he managed to produce another piece of brilliance to take his side out to 24-point lead early in the second half.

Another magical pass, only this time to Hiku, saw the winger kick the ball through off the ground to score in the corner.

Several uncharacteristic errors by the Manly side limited their opportunity as Sharks back rower Wade Graham scored on full time as a consolation.
