Sea Eagles spread Christmas cheer
Wednesday 12 December 2012 11:13 AM
The Sea Eagles have swapped maroon and white for Christmas colours this week as they spread festive cheer throughout the community.
Players are attending charity events all over the Northern Beaches, bringing a little Sea Eagles Christmas spirit to the kids and parents who support them through the season.
The week of fan festivities will culminate with the Sea Eagles Member's Christmas party at Dee Why AMF on Thursday night, when the whole 2013 squad will go bowling with the club's junior members.
But the players have also been busy throughout the week as the Sea Eagles celebrate the season with our Charity partners.
Following on from the great success of his specially designed Diabetes Jersey and Snake t-shirts, Brett Stewart will host a special Christmas party for kids with Diabetes at Big Blast Brookvale on Friday night.
Anyone who suffers with Diabetes is welcome and Brett would love young families to share their experience with the disease, all while having lots of fun.
Sign up to attend Brett's Diabetes Christmas Party!
Kids and players will compete in a variety of different games before sitting down to dinner. Santa may even make an appearance with presents for the kids!
On Tuesday night Jamie Buhrer and Glenn Stewart visited long-time Charity partners Royal Far West, while Daly Cherry-Evans and Brent Kite returned to Stewart House to catch up with the kids they've visited as club ambassadors throughout the year.
The Sea Eagles will welcome new Charity Partners Bear Cottage in 2013 and David Williams and Justin Horo attended their Christmas party on Sunday the 9th to pass on the club's season's greetings and meet some of the kids staying at the Manly hospice.
The players love getting out amongst the fans and giving back to the Sea Eagles community and hope to see some of the supporters throughout the holiday break.
Merry Christmas from everyone at the Sea Eagles!
