Injury Update 600px

Despite the incredible physical strain of the Sea Eagles' record-breaking defensive effort against the Storm, the players pulled up relatively unscathed after Round 10.

Steve Matai was the only major complaint forced to leave the field in the late stages of the game with a hamstring strain.

However the hard-hitting centre is confident he'll recover in time to face up against Blake Ferguson in Manly's clash with the Raiders at Brookvale Oval on Saturday.

"I had a scan yesterday on my hamstring," he said. "I sort of hurt it at the end of the game there so I'm waiting to see the doc this afternoon."

"Hopefully it feels ok. It felt a bit tight this morning but hopefully it'll be ok."

The players don't have long to recover from their bruising encounter before the clash with Canberra but coach Geoff Toovey has faith that they'll be ready to defend The Fortress.

"It's a short turnaround so it's going to be difficult for us but we're used to that and the players are professional," he said.

"We'll go about preparing ourselves over the next few days for a tough game against Canberra."
